Purchase of closeout item, later told out of stock when advertised on website, what is the sellers obligation?

If you make a purchase from a website (closeout item), which they later say is out of stock and discontinued, is the seller obligated to send you equivalent (monetarily to original value) product?
To clarify, I don’t want my money back, I want an equivalent quality product. IE, I was charged 190 for Motorcycle boots that were on clearance from 350. I want the 350 quality boots (or other similar quality) for the 190 they advertised.

In my opinion they have to refund you your money.

    Yes they have to refund the money. If they refuse, you can (and should) take legal action. By paying for a product, you have fulfilled your half of the contract. If they don’t fulfill theirs by delivering that product, they have breached that contract. It may be hard though over the internet getting your money back. That’s why you should always look into companies before you send them your money. Many of them do this type of thing regularly, it is how they make money because they know most people won’t actually take legal action. I always just google "customer reviews for *company*" If the company does this a lot, people will be complaining about it.
